Lola’s Flag Adventure: it’s time to learn the flags!

Lola’s Flag Adventure is a memory game with flags for images. The largest countries of Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific are covered here and the game comes with different levels of difficulty which makes the app accessible to the little kids. Great design and nice voice guidance in English and Chinese (simplified). It is certainly a great chance to learn the flags while playing!

Surprisingly (or not), memory games are fit for children really young in age. It is amazing how their memory is way better than ours. There are some great options of memory game apps out there, but this one comes with a special treat: you get to customize the cards using your own photos! Even more than that, [my]PhotoMatch for Tots version comes with large buttons so small children have a better chance coordinating to play the game. Using your own dear photos with big buttons on a memory game, is certainly a good combination that makes this app worth the try!

8 Planets, solar system on your kids’ hand!

Here is one of a kind: 8 Planets is a great app to learn the names and the position of the planets in our solar system while improving spelling and learning letters. My 3 yo boy (who is, of course, crazy about the Space) has memorized right away all the planets names and was even guessing right the missing letters.
If some subjects are really well covered in terms of apps, others like planets and Space are not. And 8 Planets certainly does a great job on it!

Here is a memory game based on letters. While memorizing the positions kids get trained reinforcing letter names. My kid likes this one a lot, although it could get some work on the graphics. Also, not sure if the timing score matters for the little ones. My 3 yo at least does not relate to it this far.

Here is a good mix of well known and effective preschool iPhone games – memory, numbers, colors, letters and fruits. This all-in-one game set has nice drawings, animations, sound and the always effective sticker prize at the end.
Certainly an excellent value for the price and quality of the game.

In case you might consider memory matching games can be to hard for your little ones, think again. It took my 3 yo less then 3 rounds to beat me round after round. Boy their memory is so much fresh!
There are quite a few memory match games out there. I like the graphics and the sound on this one better than the other I have tried.
