OccupyBaby is an app where by touching the animal, one hears the sound it does and the animals name, while the word is written on the screen. Pretty straight forward, aimed more towards the little ones with nice and non-complex drawings and interaction.
There is a ‘sea’ edition coming out soon as advertised on the site and I’m anxious to see it. 
If you like this app, you should probably check other similar ‘barn’ and farm animals themed apps I have come across. Parents with kids under 2 should take a look at Peekaboo Barn. For toddlers, Old McDonald is also good choice.

Our 2 year old loves this game, always reaching for my pocket making the animal sounds looking for my iPhone.
